Music in Motion is for young performers looking to step into the world of theatre in a warm, supportive, and encouraging environment. Through fun improv games, character exploration, music, movement, and storytelling, students bring characters to life, explore scenes and songs, and discover new ways to express themselves. Creativity and play remain at the heart of every class as students develop their skills over the course of the semester through learning fundamental theatre terminology and experiencing the excitement of ensemble teamwork. This class focuses on fostering confidence, empathy, collaboration and leadership qualities in every artist—important skills that transcend beyond the walls of the theatre.
* Music in Motion also provides young artists with the skills and qualities necessary to transition into our MainStage productions: KIDS Company (Grades 1-3) and JUNIOR Company (Grades 4-7).

Imagine That! is an energetic yet gentle introduction to theatre, where little imaginations take center stage! This foundational gateway to music and theatre encourages children to explore the artform at their own pace through pretend play, storytelling, puppetry, music, movement, and playful theatre games. Each class invites young artists to create characters, discover imaginary worlds and find new ways to express themselves while building confidence and sharing ideas. With an emphasis on finding what makes their hearts light up, these play-full experiences celebrate creativity, connection, and the courage to let imagination lead.
*Imagine That! also provides young artists with the ‘playful basics’ to build vital confidence and early experience to transition into our MainStage productions (KIDS Company eligibility: Age 6 / 1st Grade).

This dynamic improv masterclass is the ultimate environment to promote how one thinks, speaks and reacts in the moment! This class is designed for both the seasoned performer and beginner student. ‘Comfort in the spotlight’, whether onstage or off, is cultivated through FUN, fast-paced games and exercises and students are encouraged to say ‘YES!’ to new challenges while being spontaneous and deeply present with one another.

This high energy class is perfect for both beginners and seasoned young performers! In this fun, supportive environment, students sharpen quick-thinking skills, unlock creative expression, and cultivate lasting confidence through dynamic theatre games and character development. These core principles promote students to be spontaneous, trust their natural instincts and remain ‘present’ — important skills whether you’re in the spotlight on stage or in everyday life!

WORKSHOPS
TEEN Dance Intensive
AGES 8 - 12
Experience Welcome…But Not Required! Whether you’ve danced for years or never set foot in a studio, our MainStage Dance Workshop is the perfect way to get comfortable with the movement styles featured in this season’s productions — Newsies and Anything Goes. You’ll explore the energetic, storytelling-driven choreography of Newsies and the classic, showbiz flair of Anything Goes, including tap dance. No tap shoes? No problem. No prior dance experience? Absolutely fine! Our Teaching Artist will guide you through the basics, helping you build confidence, coordination, and stage presence while having fun. This class is about exposure, and enjoying the process while giving you a head start on the dance technique we’ll be teaching throughout the semester!
*Our dance workshops are a fun and recommended way to get prepped for our Mainstage Productions this semester—but optional/not compulsory. Joining our workshop does not guarantee any specific roles when casting rolls around.
