GRADES 4 - 7
Skyline’s JUNIOR COMPANY offers a fully produced musical experience led by experienced teaching artists. Students of all experience levels are welcome! What matters most is dedication and a strong interest in performing.
Our teachers guide young performers through the full musical theatre experience, from auditions to opening night, building confidence, ensemble skills, and stage presence in a fun and supportive environment. Through the arts, students gain confidence and develop stage-ready skills while bringing a Broadway-style show to life.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Seize the Day with Disney’s rousing musical that has thrilled and inspired young people for generations.
Disney's Newsies JR. is a 60-minute version of the 2012 Broadway musical, based on the 1992 film. Inspired by the rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies JR. features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein.
When powerful newspaper publishers raise prices at the newsboys' expense, the charismatic Jack Kelly rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger united and create a movement to fight for what's right.
Including the now-classic songs ""Carrying the Banner,"" ""Seize the Day,"" and ""Santa Fe,"" Newsies JR. is a timeless story full of spirit and heart.

GRADES 4 - 7
Skyline’s TEEN BROADWAY COMPANY gives young performers the opportunity to bring a full musical production to life, from auditions and casting to rehearsals and live performances on a professional stage.
Led by experienced teaching artists, students develop their performance skills while exploring characters, learn music and choreography from Broadway shows, and discover the power of working together as an ensemble. Along the way they learn to take creative risks, support their fellow cast members, and grow as both artists and individuals.
At Skyline, it’s about more than putting on the final show. Our teaching artists meet performers at their level to encourage actors to find confidence that transcends beyond the theatre walls. Come ready to work, grow, and make meaningful connections!
*Important Note! No tap shoes or dance experience? NO PROBLEM! Not every character or cast member will tap or need tap experience. If you are cast in a role that requires tapping and don't already have tap shoes, we'll work with you to find cost effective options!
ABOUT THE SHOW:
Music, dance, laughs and the age-old tale of boy meets girl… Anything Goes is delightful, delicious and de-lovely.
All aboard the S.S. American for a madcap musical adventure filled with romance, mistaken identities, and comedy! When young Billy Crocker stows away on a luxury ocean liner to win the heart of Hope Harcourt, who’s already engaged to a wealthy Englishman, chaos quickly takes over. With the help of nightclub singer and showgirl extraordinaire Reno Sweeney and a delightfully bumbling gangster, Billy’s voyage becomes a hilarious race for love, packed with unexpected twists and outrageous antics.
First premiering on Broadway in 1934, this timeless musical comedy features the unforgettable songs of legendary composer and lyricist Cole Porter, including “Anything Goes,” “You’re the Top,” and “I Get a Kick Out of You.” Nearly a century later, its witty humor, dazzling dance numbers, and classic Broadway glamour continue to delight audiences. So grab your tickets and get ready to set sail, because aboard this ship, absolutely anything can happen!
This version, based on the 1987 Lincoln Center production at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, features a revised script, updated in light of contemporary sensibilities.
