Kids Musical theatre Classes

PRE K4 - GRADE 3

Our Musical Theatre classes are highly encouraged as either a prerequisite and/or to support your artist in KIDS Company!

Musical Theatre 1

Ages 4-5 (PreK4-K)

(Drop Off Class- Contact for Optional Observation)

Throughout our sessions, kids are introduced to a variety of Broadway show tunes, learn choreography, explore how music inspires their bodies to move, and most of all, have FUN! Our teachers focus on strengthening confidence using tools such as storytelling, music, puppetry, and group activities/games. We strive to reach a level of safety and enjoyment. This freedom of expression, along with confidence, are crucial elements of Musical Theatre. Grownups and families are invited to the final class to observe their presentation.

Musical Theatre 2

Ages 6-7 (Grades 1-2)

(Drop Off Class)

Through learning about the dramatic arts, young performers develop their storytelling, acting, singing, dancing, and strengthen their self confidence! Students are trained in the basics of Musical Theatre etiquette, improvisation, creativity, stage directions, memorization, clear vocal projection, and other important theatrical skills which help prepare them for the big stage. We work together to produce a short performance of Broadway tunes which grownups & families are invited to watch at the end of our semester!

Musical Theatre 3

Ages 8-9 (Grades 3-4)

(Drop Off Class)

For students in Grades 3-4, this class dives into Broadway music while building skills in acting, singing, dancing, and storytelling. With guidance from theatre professionals, students develop confidence as they learn key techniques, culminating in a short performance for family and friends at the end of the semester. This class is fantastic for young actors who are looking to supplement their Production class or are looking for performance practice at their comfort level.

JUNIOR Foundation Classes

GRADES 4-7

Broadway Dance Styles

Grades 4-12 (Drop Off Class)

In this movement-based class, students learn how to keep their characters alive through dance while exploring dynamic styles seen on the Broadway stage. With a strong focus on storytelling, expression, and ensemble work, dancers build versatility, technique, and confidence in every step, all while fostering a supportive sense of community.

JUNIOR IMPROV

Grades 4 - 7

Perfect for both beginners and seasoned performers, this improv class builds quick thinking, creativity, and confidence through games and character work. Students strengthen their instincts while learning to stay present and spontaneous, great for developing skills for both on and off stage.

In this technique-focused class, students learn healthy vocal habits that strengthen pitch, breath support, and tone through fun and challenging Broadway repertoire. With a focus on expression, storytelling, and presence, singers build confidence, control, and a strong foundation for vocal success.
