SUMMER INTENSIVE
This Summer Production Intensive invites young artists to jump into the full magic of musical theatre; from audition to curtain call. Participants will experience live auditions, be cast in a show, explore character work, rehearse music and choreography, and bring it all together in a fully produced musical performed for live audiences. Our summer days are packed with creativity, learning, laughter, and meaningful connections with castmates and instructors.
Because this is an intensive experience, we ask that participants come with a strong interest in the dramatic arts and a readiness to commit. With guidance from our talented Directors, students build confidence, sharpen professional theatre skills, collaborate deeply, and form lasting bonds.

ABOUT THE SHOW
Matilda Jr. is the story of an extraordinary little girl with extraordinary powers. The daughter of awful and narcissistic parents, Matilda finds refuge in library books, offering her a quiet, welcoming sanctuary from the, "boredom and drabness" of her family, who ignore her and spend their time watching television! Things are no better at school, where Matilda also must face a tyrannical and cruel headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, however, she finds companionship in her teacher, the well-intentioned, shy and fragile Miss Honey. Brave little Matilda knows she has to stand up against the adults in her world, and in doing so, discovers her own remarkable powers. Matilda’s bravery teaches Miss Honey and her classmates an important lesson -- that even though life can be hard, “nobody but me is gonna change my story” so “sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty.
